Blurb
Kaitlyn Fairchild has always felt like an outsider in her small hometown. Her haunting eyes and prophetic drawings have earned her a reputation as a witch. But Kait's not a witch: She's a psychic. Tired of being shunned, Kait accepts an invitation to attend the Zetes Institute, where she can have a fresh start and study with other psychic teens.
Learning to hone her abilities with four other gifted students, Kait discovers the intensity of her power -- and the joy of having true friends. But those friendships quickly become complicated when Kait finds herself torn between two irresistible guys. Rob is kind and athletic, and heals people with his good energy. Gabriel is aggressive and mysterious, a telepath concealing his true nature as a psychic vampire, feeding off of others' life energy. Together, Rob and Gabriel's opposing forces threaten the group's stability.
Then one of the experiments traps the five teens in a psychic link. A link that threatens their sanity and their lives. And Kaitlyn must decide whom to trust...and whom to love.
Hello readers :)
Well here is my second book review. **Warning** - There are spoilers* okay now that that's sorted out onto the actual review, As i said this review is Dark Visions by L.J. Smith. Dark Visions follows 5 physic gifted teens. Kaitlyn, Rob, Anna, Lewis and Gabriel. These five have been taken from all over America and put into an institution that will both help there academic and mainly physic abilities. But when the five are caught in a telepathic web, they're minds are linked and not one of them knows how to break it. But after some research they find a way, but soon wish they hadn't.
As their quest takes them to Canada and back with enemies on thier tails and an old race's tales to help them. The five are in life threatening danger. Will their quest come up fatal or will they find a way to break their web?
Well in my opinion this book is an outstanding read. Proper page turning and there is the scare element of this novel too. The start kind of drags on, but seriously, keep reading it takes a little while to get into it but it's WELL worth it. The centre in my opinion is the best, the group travels to Canada to find 'the people of the crystal,' which they think might help them. But when they reach the people of the crystal, Gabriel -the reason for the telepathic web- betrays the group and turns to the side of their enemies. Gabriel now wants to kill them. But when Kait returns to the institute undercover, a full on war breaks out.
Along the journey secrets are revealed on the little saying the front of the book comes into play, 'not all vampires need blood,'
So my beautiful readers, If you can go out and buy it, it's a brilliantae read,
